Which devices can I use Legal Diary on?
All of them — and your data is the same data, synced live, everywhere:
- 🌐 Web app — any modern browser on any computer (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Just visit legaldiary.app and sign in.
- 🪟 Native Windows app — download installer for Windows 10 / 11 from the marketing site. Behaves like Excel or Word — appears in your Start menu.
- 🍎 Native Mac app — download .dmg for macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon). Sits in your Applications folder. Dock icon.
- 📱 Native iPhone & iPad app — App Store. Push notifications for hearings + tasks. Full offline mode.
- 🤖 Native Android phone & tablet app — Google Play Store. Same push + offline as iPhone.
Edit a matter on your office Windows desktop — open your iPhone in court, the same matter is already there. Add a time entry from your home Mac — your associate sees it in real time. One account · five apps · zero friction.
Does Legal Diary work without internet?
Yes — the native iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac apps all have full offline mode. View matters, add time entries, take notes, mark tasks done in court where there's no signal. Everything queues locally and auto-syncs when you reconnect. The browser web app needs internet.
If I add an expense on my phone, will it show up on my office computer?
Yes — typically within 1–3 seconds. Legal Diary uses real-time sync via Firebase. Any change on any device pushes to all your other devices instantly. Your team sees it too if you've granted them access.
How is Legal Diary different from Case Pilot?
Case Pilot is the legal brain — research, AI, drafting templates, knowledge. Legal Diary is the legal office — matters, billing, time, clients, trust accounts. Most firms run both. They share login (SSO) and can pass data between them.
Is the Trust Account compliant with Bar Council rules in my country?
Yes. Separate ledger from your operating account, withdrawal-approval workflow, auditable transaction log, monthly reconciliation reports, exportable for audits. The trust-account rules and audit format adapt to your country's Bar regulator (Pakistan Bar Council · Nigerian Bar Association · UAE Ministry of Justice · UK SRA · India BCI · etc.) — designed with input from former Bar Council auditors.
Can I import from my existing spreadsheet?
Yes. Excel, CSV, Google Sheets — drag and drop. We handle column mapping. The free 30-minute onboarding session walks you through migrating without losing data. We also import from Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, and digitallawyerdiary.com if you're switching from a competitor.
How secure is my client data?
AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. Stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (SOC 2 Type II certified). Per-firm data isolation enforced via security rules — your firm's data is invisible to other firms. Daily encrypted backups for 30 days. 2-factor authentication mandatory for Solo Pro and above.
What countries do you support?
Legal Diary launches globally in 2026. We're rolling out country by country: Pakistan · UAE · Nigeria · UK · India · Bangladesh · Saudi Arabia · US · Canada · Australia and more. Each country tenant ships with its own courts, statutes, form templates, currency, and Bar regulator body — all in English. Pick your country at signup.
Does it support multiple lawyers, paralegals, and office staff?
Yes — Team and Firm plans include role-based permissions. Partners see billing; associates see matters but not partner-only fees; paralegals upload docs but can't delete; office staff mark tasks done. You control every permission for every team member. Bar regulator audits love this.
How long does the free trial last?
7 days · full feature access · no credit card required. We'll email you 24 hours before it ends. If you don't subscribe, your data stays — you can come back any time and upgrade.
I'm not technical — will I be able to figure this out?
Built for lawyers, not for software engineers. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use Legal Diary. Every paid plan includes a free onboarding session (30 min for Solo, 1 hour for Firm) where we set up your matters, clients, and team with you on a video call.
How do I get support if something breaks?
Email info@LegalDiary.app — average response 4 hours business days. Paid plans get WhatsApp support (Solo Pro+: business hours · Firm: priority same-day · Enterprise: dedicated account manager available 24/7).
